I had a squatter toilet for the whole four months I was there. They seem awful at first, but you get used to them, even the public ones. Go to Shanghai often if you can, it's pretty awesome. Make sure you go to People's Square and dance with the old people. But if you don't understand the price they are saying when you buy stuff, no worries, they will just reach into your wallet and pull out the right change.. Haha. True.
